Refinery-grade bitumen classified by hardness (e.g. 50/70, 70/100), supplied in bulk by bitutainer and heated to working temperature at the client's site for asphalt production in road construction and paving.
Penetration grade bitumen thinned with a petroleum solvent so it can be applied at lower temperatures, mainly for prime coats and surface dressing.
Bitumen dispersed in water with an emulsifying agent, applied cold for tack coats, surface dressing and road maintenance.
